Register for spring and summer carving camps!
For a limited time, our two day Chainsaw Carving Camp is available for only 950. This immersive experience is fun, inspiring, and incredibly rewarding. Each student will leave with multiple finished carvings they can sell to recoup their investment or proudly display at home.
You will also gain new friendships, real world carving confidence, and a one of a kind experience that few people ever get to enjoy.
At the beginning of Day 1, we will review the essential parts of a chainsaw and focus on proper safety procedures. You will learn how each component functions, how to inspect your saw before use, and how to operate it with confidence while minimizing risk. Safety is the foundation of great carving, and this session ensures every participant starts with the knowledge and habits needed for a productive and injury free experience.
During Day 1, you will also learn a progression of carving techniques from basic shaping to more advanced detailing that truly bring your carvings to life. These hands on tips and guided projects will establish the foundational skills you need to continue growing as a carver long after the camp ends.
Understanding the basic blocking steps and the correct types of cuts for bears, eagles, and owls is one of the most important skills in carving. Without this foundation, it is difficult for any piece to truly look right. We will also cover furring and feathering techniques, along with professional finishing methods to give your carvings a clean, polished look.
